So, to start it all off, Eric's mom was diagnosed with cancer in march. She had to endure weeks and weeks of radiation and chemo. The radiation gave Suzy horrible burns and the chemo made her really sick. She lost her appetite and in turn lost a lot of weight. One positive thing happened though, she didn't lose a single hair! Everyone was amazed, including her doctors! We are happy to report that she is 95% cured and doing really well!
Next, Eric had been talking about how his right side had been bothering him for a few days. His mom decided that he better go to the hospital. It's a good thing they went when they did! The doctor said that his appendix was about to burst and he needed immediate surgery. 45 minutes after going to the hospital Eric was put to sleep and cut open! He had three little incisions was all so he was able to recover quickly! Oh and did I mention that this happened exactly ONE WEEK before our wedding?!
Then, the night before our wedding my mom got put in the hospital with the usual problem of blocked intestines. Not only could I not sleep because I was so nervous but also because I was worried about my mom! The morning of the wedding my mom still hadn't improved any and everyone thought she wouldn't be able to come to our wedding. But, my mom showed them. She came all drugged up and with the I.V. still in her arm and was in a wheelchair with a puke bucket! It meant so much to me that she would risk leaving the hospital just so she could come to our wedding!!!! After the ceremony we got one picture with her and then it was back to the hospital where she ended up getting surgery soon after. What a tough lady!
Finally to top it all off, I was up visiting my mom before the wedding and it was time to leave so my Aunt Connie and I went out to my car only to realize that I had locked my keys in the car (a very bad habit of mine). My Uncle Rigo called a locksmith who rushed over and broke into my car for me! I was ONLY 20 minutes late ahhhh! How stressful and embarrassing!
But all in all, it was a beautiful wedding. Tons of family came and supported us, the weather was perfect, and Eric looked H-O-T!!!! I have to thank my Aunt Connie and my cousins Brittany and McKenzie. They did my hair, helped me get dressed, and made sure I looked okay for our pictures! After our two amazing receptions Eric and I rushed off to our Honeymoon in beautiful Puerto Rico! We had a great time!!!! Here are some of the honeymoon pictures:
